CE+T

Constructions Électroniques + Télécommunications was founded in 1934, based on the work of Joachim Frenkiel, Professor at the University of Liège. It has been majority owned by its executives since 2000. Its core business has remained the same for almost 30 years: developing and producing devices for an uninterrupted power supply. In Belgium, the company’s customers include Infrabel, Proximus, Elia, WDC, Charleroi Airport, Tecteo-VOO, Infrax and SKC (Mole). Since the 1960s, CE+T Power has specialized in power electronics and was the first company to introduce the concept of a modular inverter in the late 1980s, followed by a completely digitally controlled inverter system in 1996. This pioneering system is now a standard approach for other industry participants and later won CE+T Power a Frost & Sullivan award for Product Line Strategy Leadership and demonstrating the most insight into customer needs and product demands within its industry. Today, CE+T Power is the technological leader in the field of DC/AC (direct current to alternating current) power conversion and storage, using what is called inverters, with the goal of securing a power supply for critical applications that will not succumb to any interruption. Its critical applications can be found in fields such as Telecommunications, Transport, Finance, Oil and others. The technology is based on high-efficiency, parallelizable modular inverters that can be adapted to ensure a fast return on investment. Its major customers – including Vodafone, Ericsson and China Mobile – are from the Telecom, IT and general industry sectors.
